Who should keep handle the money in Marriage?

Money is one of the top causes of conflict in marriage. Should the husband handle it, the wife, or both?

The truth is, the healthiest marriages approach money as a team. When one partner controls everything, power struggles may arise.

If both manage finances without trust, chaos follows. But when husband and wife work together, they create unity, accountability, and shared vision.

Scripture says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor” (Ecclesiastes 4:9).

The goal is not who holds the wallet but how well the two manage resources as stewards before God. Marriage thrives when couples see money as “ours” not “mine.”
